Are You Gorgeworthy?

Based in the beautiful Columbia River Gorge, Hood River Yacht Club is a friendly group of sailors and boaters who enjoy sailing, cruising, racing, windsurfing, kiteboarding and pretty much anything else you can do on the water.  The Club helps sponsor a Junior Program, Adult Learn to Sail classes as well as other community events.

In the Gorge we enjoy sailing in a wide variety of wind and water conditions, from gentle summer evening breezes to epic nuclear blowouts and everything in between.  Bring your foulies and a sense of adventure, and come sail with us!

HRYC Clubhouse!

I am excited to say that HRYC will be moving into the former marina maintenance building and yard this Wednesday, July 2nd.

Our goal is to have dry storage space available as soon as possible so our first work party is going to take place on the evening of Thursday July 3rd from 5:00 - 8:00 PM. The focus of this first session will be to get the yard cleaned up.

Bring your work clothes, close toed shoes, and work gloves. We will also need shovels, picks, rakes, hoes, push brooms etc to groom out and clean up the yard. We are working on getting a tractor too, so if anyone has one that they could trailer down Thursday night please contact Doug or Tamara. We could also use some extra help with weed control equipment - chemical or a torch, so if anyone has these items let us know too.

If you have any questions or need anything, please do not hesitate to Contact the club!
